We hope that you are well. Following on from today’s Government announcement we can now confirm that North East Lincolnshire is to remain in Tier 3, which unfortunately means the Beachcomber must stay closed by law until at least the next review of tiers which is due to be around the 30th December.
However, the Christmas (www.gov.uk/guidance/guidance-for-the-christmas-period ) guidance confirms for England that:
‘From 23 December to 27 December, you may choose to form a Christmas Bubble. (www.gov.uk/government/publications/making-a-christmas-bubble-with-friends-and-family/making-a-christmas-bubble-with-friends-and-family)
A Christmas bubble will be able to spend time together in private homes, including second homes and caravans…’.
Christmas Bubbles in England
Where planning and site licence allow, the regulations permit campsites and caravan parks in Tier 3 to open from 00.01 on 22nd December to people staying alone or with other members of their household, or support bubble. However, the Christmas relaxations in travel advice (other than from Northern Ireland) do not commence until 23rd December.
Christmas Bubbles (www.gov.uk/government/publications/making-a-christmas-bubble-with-friends-and-family/making-a-christmas-bubble-with-friends-and-family) may form, travel and stay from 00.01 on 23rd December and depart before 23.59 on 27th December.
The travel relaxations end on 27th December, but the regulations permit (where planning and site licence allow) caravan parks and campsites in Tier 3 to remain open an extra 24 hours, until 23.59 on 28th December.
This additional 24 hours permitted either side of the Christmas bubble relaxations is explained in the Christmas (www.gov.uk/guidance/guidance-for-the-christmas-period) guidance as follows: ‘In tier 3, in order to be located near your Christmas bubble, you can stay in a hotel between 22 and 28 December, as long as you’re staying by yourself or with other members of your household, or support bubble.’ The same applies to customers wishing to stay in caravan parks and campsites.
Therefore, we will open the Park at 9am on Tuesday 22nd December until 4pm on Monday 28th December.
Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to open Buckets for the Christmas window.
Our staff will not be at work on Christmas Day or Boxing Day. It is therefore essential that should you require any gas bottles, that you order and pay for them before 3pm on Christmas Eve in order for us to deliver it to you in time for Christmas. There will be no deliveries on Christmas Day or Boxing Day. Reception will be open 9-5 from 22nd December – 24th December and 9-5 on the 27th & 28th December. The Park will close again at 4pm on 28th December.
The Sales Office will remain closed until at least 2nd January 2021.
All other facilities on the Park will be closed during the period 22nd – 28th December, except for the Play Areas.
If you have any queries ahead of the Christmas opening window, our phone lines will be operated from Saturday 19th December. Please do not travel to the Park before 9am on 22nd December, as you will not be allowed onto the Park.
May we take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and we look forward to seeing some of you in the coming days.
With every best wish
The Beachcomber Team
